Bleaching Earths

MAK® series bleaching earths differ from acid-activated bleaching earths in that they are produced from naturally porous clays, activated by thermal and mechanical methods. Currently our R&D is investigating new methods of milling and sieving/separating the particles, in order to achieve a granulometry that is optimal for “difficult-to-bleach” oils.
At the same time, different combinations of clays from different deposits are tested, in order to offer non-acid activated alternatives to industries that might wish to avoid acid in this stage of their production.
